What
The core responsibilities of Council are to be excellent stewards of funds, to give voice to those who do not have a seat at the table, and to make smart investments to improve government services. Council is accountable to all residents and should listen actively. Council also needs to communicate regularly and with clarity to ensure the community is empowered with information on the issues that matter.
In Brief, I Plan to Work On:
- Smart investments in public safety, including hiring community safety ambassadors as a calming measure in our parks and downtown areas during peak hours
- Fiscal responsibility and transparency
- A long-term sensible land development strategy
- Enhanced programming for seniors, including work on a city-wide discount program
